Hoho, so we're back from Taipei.

It was a really enjoyable trip, we did so many things in the short span of 7 days. However, I won't talk too much about the trip as I'm waiting for my fatty to come back so I can upload the pictures and give a better description.

Anyhoo, she took off to China 3 hours later upon our arrival back in Singapore. Another 7 days of holiday for her, how nice! But definitely not as nice as what we had in Taipei.

Okay so now I'm alone in Singapore and she has fallen asleep. We ALWAYS spend our weekends crashing either at her place or my place. This will be the 2nd time since we got together that we are not sleeping under the same blanket. I'm really not used to it.

Just one day and I already miss her like mad. We are 16 months into our relationship and everything is still as fresh and exciting as day 1.

I'm glad to say that I've found what other people spent their entire lives looking for and I found it earlier than everybody else. Truly, we are addicted to each other. I will never find another equal who really shares and compliment my weird sense of humour. Ahhh.. how much I miss her just by typing this post..

Anyway, she'll be back on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, I'm going to bring her out for a yummy Christmas dinner and I'm going to start looking for nice places now. Bye!

Hello world!
Long update today on what you've missed out and etc!

So you know, I got my braces done last month, and just cut my hair short a few days ago, so this is how I look now incase you can't picture how I look like:


Love the fohawk. Anyways a fohawk is a Faux Mohawk, which means there's still hair on the sides, instead of having them shaven.

Having braces on is not funny. Because I cannot eat solid food. That means no chips(or snacks actually), no fried stuff, and no chewy meat. That means I've been rather miserable for the past month. I lost 6 kg in the first 5 days.. and have lost another 2kg up to now. I'm not complaining bout the weight loss though. :p

So this is what my new best friend looks like..




I WANT FRIED CHICKEN. AND POTATO CHIPS. NAO.

Okay ranting aside. I think it's damn fun to be able to put colors on your teeth. From the first pic, you can see that I chose a very pretty skyblue and purple for Oct/Nov. Nov/Dec means XMAS, that means I'll have green & red teeth. Love it.

Oh and I bought 2 toys to revive my forgotten camera..

Quite fun la.
But I still desperately want to upgrade it.
It's ok. Loon. I'll get it next time.

Baby got interested in my orlengpu, so we went out for a shoot at SAM the other day. It was fun!






And then we went prawning with the HPBros on Mid Autumn Festival. It was quite fun, but I would rather not kill the prawnies la. Not that I could eat the freaking meat anyway. :( So I asked for a spoon and dug the prawn heads dry. lol.

Lastly, I cut my jeans today because I've been wanting one of those cut-from-jeans-with-pockets-showing kinda shorts like this:



So I decided to cut a pair of my nicely faded jeans that didn't have the right fit.
Shall share it with you in case you would like to give it a try too.


Find a pair of nicely colored jeans that you don't want anymore.


Take your favourite pair of shorts and place it over jeans so that you know what length to cut. Remember to leave some allowance because the ends of the jeans will frill(and that's when it will look pretty!)


Cut 1 side of the jeans and put it on to see how's the cut. Mine looks hideous and is too long to my liking. So I continued to snip it until it was more acceptable.


And then you cut the other side of the jeans to the same length. It should look like my picture. Oh and 1 big thing to note. Watch out for the pockets because if you cut them then you'll have no more pockets to show!! lol! And also watch the back pocket because for my case, that pair of jeans was designed with bigger pockets. See below for the back view okay?



My jeans started to frill already because some parts of it came distressed. Well if yours don't, throw it into the washing machine and it will frill.


Important things here.
1) I cut a slit on the side of my shorts and trimmed the ends to form a curve. It makes the shorts more comfy, and hey, it looks better too.

2) See the pockets? Don't snip them off together with the legs please!


Yup so this is what the end product looks like. My original pockets were kinda long and ugly so I cut them shorter also. Nobody cares if your pockets work, right? Just don't stuff coins inside.


The big back pockets that I was talking about. They limited the length of the back of my shorts, if not my shorts would be much shorter lol.

Yup that is all! It took me bout 20mins to fiddle around, so it shouldn't take that long for you. Just remember to grab a pair of sharp scissors. Cheers and enjoy!

Fact o.t.d: Braces = no crispy goodness like potato chips :(

Hello world.
I went for my 1st round of teeth tightening followup at my dentist's today.
Next appointment will be about 3 - 4 weeks later in mid/end Nov.

For the 1st week of having my braces on,
I cut my cheeks(eh this one damn painful), starved(and lost 6kg in 10 days), learned to curb my hunger(2 bowls of tao huey and I was done for the day LOL!!), and got used to being a 牙套妹.

So hor, for the past few days, when my teeth didn't hurt anymore, I stuffed my face with a lot of BK Big Fish burgers. lol. I never liked those, always believed that going to BK to eat fish is quite ridiculous. But on the 2nd day of my braces, when I went to class, there was someone eating one and dammit it smelt damn bloody good. And so I waited........ UNTIL I COULD GET MY TEETH ON ONE!!!!

wahahahahaha!! I kept saying hor, if I don't eat any BK Big Fish yesterday, will 对不起自己 because after the tightening today, I'm gonna be starving for another 10-ish days!!!!!!

Speaking of starving.
I'm starving now. Mummy cooked me some plain porridge... I had 4 bowls in the past 2 hours.. just keep getting so hungry after like 20mins.. so I stuffed my face with some peanut butter jelly sandwiches. I can't bite lah. So i swallow loh. LOL!

Okay bye I'm back to slog my ass off for the last lap again!

Oh and I decided to put Skyblue and Purple on my teeth instead of Rasta, because Rasta's colors will be repeated next month because it's CHRISTMAS and we know we have to be green and red!!! Would be boring if I had the same colors right!

It has been quite some time since this blog got updated.

I'm coming in to post a big thank you message to my darling.

My birthday would be coming again and I'm glad that she is here to celebrate it with me once again. She already has plans on where we'll be going but she's not telling.

I do however know what present I'll received as I've already got it ahahaha. It's a weakness both of us suffer from, unable to keep our mouths shut whenever we have a surprise planned. My present turned out to be a digital photo frame cum radio cum alarm clock cum MP3 player cum video player cum calendar. It was really a big surprise as I didn't even know that such things exist! I'll name it cum cum. I plugged it at the office today and it worked great. I managed to learn how to play pictures on it and I finally had something to listen to after all this while. Thanks darling =)

Sometimes, I take a look back and see how far we've come since we started back in July 2008. The encouragement and advice that she gave all lead me to where I am now. If it wasn't for her, none of this would have happened.

I have found a soulmate and a friend. And for the years to come, I do not ever see how we can ever get sick of each other.

I think that we have moved into another phase of our relationship - the growing up and maturing phase.

We have started to work around and resolve the differences that we have and making things work.

We also know that no matter what happens, any calamity will pass and every storm will stop and at the end of the day, we will still have each other and that is what makes live worth living. :)

The last weekend was great. We bought lots of groceries so we could cook ourselves a big meal to celebrate our 13th month together.

Sadly, we got so full pinching the food while cooking that the 4 course meal turned into a 2 course meal, hahaha, but whatever was there was still very yummy and satisfying.

We made a crab fondue and had roasted potatoes and foccacia bread to dip with. This was followed up with a seafood soup that had all the yummy seafood like clams, mussels and prawns. Actually, it was a bit too sweet, lol, less seafood next time.

The ingredients that we did not cook were used up over the weekend so nothing was wasted.

Right now, I feel that the next phase would be an exciting and rewarding one as we have each other to see through whatever's coming.

I love you my dear, let's continue to have fun and grow up together.

Here is everything you might want to know about us!

Effernasance is.. a word that I made the man come up with because I was in the midst of designing a blog skin and I needed a name. Of any sort.
It means.. nothing.

How did we get together?

We knew each other in an online forum called OhGenki.
But we were never close.
Only I sent him a PM to ask him to enjoy his enlistment.
And then we went clubbing a few times here and there during his time in NS.
And then he came to my Birthday Party after he ORD-ed.
And then 2 months later we went for fireworks.
And after fireworks we decided to chill below my house.
And then he clumsily tried to impress me with his mediocre magic tricks.
And I was impressed.
And then somehow he decided he wants to be with me, so he asked if he could.
And then I was confused.
But I said we could try to hang out.
Then the next day we went out.
To Parkway Parade.
He gave me a silly letter.
And a bunch of ugly flowers.
I thought it was cute.
Cos he was inexperienced with girls.
Asked to hold my hand.
So we held hands.
And ate at Swensons. There was a very gay and creepy attendant.
And we camped at Kallang Basin for 4 hours.
There was no fireworks.
And it started to rain.
So we ran back to the car.
And then the next thing we knew,
we were together already.


Just how exactly do we spend our time together?

We are delirious most of the time. Just plain happy.
We don't fight. But when we do, we apologize after. Cos it's always ridiculous.
We are obsessed with each other. I cannot converse without mentioning him.
And he too.

What do we do? I cook, he eats. We both eat.
We lie down after we eat. And just snuggle and look at each other.
We make noises with our noses when we think our breaths stink.
We will never stop interacting.
We both like soft toys. We have many. They all have a name, an identity.
They are all alive. and noisy.
He snores when he sleeps. I drool. On his pillow.
He likes to smell me, he says that I smell like a baby.
That's because I always have tum tum rubs from him.
Hehehe.
We work together. We school in the same area.
He thinks that I'm too lazy to be alive.
I think so too.
I think I'm a slug. A sloth.
He is my pet. A sloth's pet. He does things for me. And I pet and feed him when I have nothing to do.
He likes it. I like it too.
He takes care of me. I take care of him.

Oh. We play LAN. L4D at Park Lane.
We play L4D a bit too much. I think we have clocked over 100 hours in that lan shop.
That's at least $250. Each. I think we should have just bought the original game and then just camp at home and play on Steam.
Okay maybe not. Cos it's fun to play in a LAN shop. With our friends.

We snuggle. We kiss. We hug. We laugh. We cry.
We are delirious.

I'm sitting here in my office in KL and cracking my head wondering how is it possible that the performance gap between Singaporeans and Malaysians can be so huge.

Hired a bunch of weird goons. 2 were schizophrenic, one like to stare into blank space and sit upright with 2 hands on his knees. The other seems to crumble under a job that requires 0 brain power.

One old woman went to the toilet leaving the bottom half of her skirt wedged between her ass showing me her huge and wrinkled butt cheeks in their full glory.

Only one is normal. This place sucks.

Anyhoo, it's gonna be our 1 year anniversary real sooooon. We have booked a place at a nice Italian restaurant on Sunday and we're gonna catch fireworks with a pinic at Marina Barrage tomorrow. Can't wait, gone for 2 days and I already miss my fatty like crazy.

Last week, we tasted a really good chicken gratin at a Pizza Hut in KL. Baby replicated it this week and it tastes exactly the same and even better! My little genius :D

Flight's at 1030 pm later, wish me a bon voyage. First thing I'm gonna do when I arrive in SG is to punch my baby's FAT FACE.

Okay la this is boring shit so please don't click unless you're really bored.
Really.

It's a little more to a month before school starts. I would say that I've done quite a lot during this round of holidays.

I went overseas, I earned some cash, did quite a big handful of design works, fixed up my room, turned 21, and am getting engaged to my boyfriend.

About engagement, well, it is the period from the day you accept a proposal, to the day you actually get married. Sounds good, because it requires no cash. Just commitment and trust, which is what we can afford.

We've done a little ring shopping for the past few days, I'm no fan of Diamonds. I would never agree to a ring with a huge sparkling stone that costs more than 5k, seriously. I don't even think it's pretty. I would prefer design than the quality/size of the stone.

Well I never thought I would get engaged so early in my life, not because I never planned to, but because I never knew of it. I mean sure, I knew there is a period of time before you can actually get married after a successful proposal, I just didn't have an idea that it's actually possible anytime to be proposed to.

I'm glad our parents give us their blessings, and of course, that we found each other. I look back on my life a lot, and even though I have a lot of "I shouldn't have"s, I would still take the same path and go through all the pain again because they are what led me to you. It's true.

Our personalities are really complimenting, our family backgrounds are the same, we are at the same stage of life, and we get fun from being together. This is all I ask for in a husband. It may seem simple, but I know how difficult it is to find someone to fit the bill perfectly. And I'm not gonna let him go.

I will work hard to never make our life monotonous, I will be fresh and fun. I will clean after you, cook for you, bear you children, make sure they grow up healthily physically and emotionally. I will be your best friend - I don't watch soccer but I will cook for you and your buddies if you want to catch a match at our home next time. I will not stray, I will not lie. I will not keep things from you. I will ride through the ups and downs of your life, I will sit with you when things make you cry. I will take care of my body because I want to be with you until our hair turn silver.

I can promise these because I know that is what I will do, but words are cheap, so only time can tell if everything turns out right.

I do not ask for much in return, except for the 3 times I need you to compromise your faith.

Life has been getting better since the day I met you, and I know that it will not stop improving. For the first time, I can see my future with a man that I can trust to keep me safe, fed, and loved.

Okay it's getting disgustingly mushy and a little awkward for outsiders to read, but I doubt many who clicked on this post have continued to read this far.


I made it for school. The whole year was fine, I wasn't even on the red line for any of my submissions, and my attendance was good. But I guess it was the previous experience that scared me.

When school starts I promise myself that I will persevere, and I will give my best to school. I can do the same things that the others slog days for, in just one night. I know I can come up with better if I do work as hard as the others. But then again, everyone's improving. I must work harder too.

I am working as a freelance web designer now, the money is acceptable if the flow of work is constant, but I highly doubt so. I take every project as a practice, and I give more than just a piece of work. I put in my hard work, I make my research, I spend my time fine tuning every bit of it.

And just within 20 projects, I can see the vast improvement I've had since my first layout. I will continue to work hard, so that at the end of the holidays, I have something to show, something to call my own, and a prove of my time well spent during the holidays.

Things to buy/do before 3rd August:

1. Get braces(and this, yay, finally.)
2. Complete room
3. A new notebook(meimei says to check out parkway parade)
4. A new pencil case
5. Stationaries
6. A bag
7. A truckload of clothes
8. Fix my hair
9. Fix myself(cycle.. cycle.. diet.. diet.. work.. work..)
10. Grow that determination
11. Spend more time with my love.
12. Fix up scrapbook with baby.
13. Maybe have a new blog skin.

Wow, a short list for once.
Life is a blast every day, thanks to you, my pumpkin.

Seafood International at East Coast Park!

Okay so after we returned from Malaysia, baby's parents gave me a birthday treat at Seafood International at East Coast Park!

The food was very good, it's the kind that you can bring your parents to(chinese food mah), and really, the ala carte buffet was very tasty and affordable!





Yea that's me and his sissy!!

Positively the best instant pasta there is($3.40/2 packets!), and the best snack available in Bugis. Poutine from YellowFellas. Fwah..
